This 4-week course will teach you how to start a daily meditation practice through different techniques of mindful awareness. We will cover several different ways of cultivating calm and mindfulness working with a variety of mental and physical objects such as using the body, sensory experiences, visual objects, sounds and other sense objects as a support for our meditation practice.
The objective of this course is to cultivate mindful awareness for everyday life through learning to calm the mind in a methodical way.
Gabriel has sat several long retreats exploring his own mind and he has maintained a daily and well-established meditation practice for well over a decade. Gabriel has spent extended periods of time in both India and Nepal studying meditation techniques and philosophy within the Karma Kagyu lineage of Buddhism directly under his main spiritual teacher Mingyur Rinpoche.
This course will be taught in a non dogmatic or religious way from Gabriel’s own experiential knowledge and from what he has learnt directly from his teachers. It is suitable for anyone of any faith or believe system wanting to establish a regular meditation practice.
